Summary
At Docusign, I lead product design across agreement management, workflow automation, and AI agents. I joined through the acquisition of Lexion during Docusign’s shift from e-signature to Intelligent Agreement Management. Across these initiatives, I turn ambiguous, high-stakes bets into coherent customer experiences: clarifying product boundaries, aligning partner teams, and establishing the interaction and content principles needed to ship with confidence. The work spans 0→1 products such as Agent Studio and Agreement Desk, as well as the 1→10 evolution of Workflow Automations.
Designing how the team works
Some of the hardest problems on Docusign’s Workflows team weren’t contained inside the product. The space crossed teams, time zones, technical stacks, and disciplines—and simply making more screens wasn’t going to make that complexity disappear. Alongside the product work, I introduced clearer design planning, shared critiques, and earlier collaboration with Research and Content Design. I also joined the hiring loops for my Director-level Engineering and Product counterparts, helping evaluate not just functional fit, but the kind of leadership and working dynamics we wanted to build around the team. The goal was simple: reduce the coordination overhead around the work so the team could spend more energy on the decisions that actually mattered.
Agent Studio
A trustworthy foundation for agentic AI
Agent Studio was DocuSign’s early move into agentic AI for enterprise agreement work, with legal teams as a primary audience. I partnered with User Research and Content Design to test early concepts, establish auditability and business-appropriate language, and replace a fragmented wizard with a form-like, what-you-see-is-what-you-get configuration experience. The result gave engineering and partner teams clear guardrails and shipped in roughly two months, creating a credible foundation for AI-powered agreement management.
Workflow Automations
Compounding value through 1→10 change
Workflow Automations is a 1→10 transformation rather than a single redesign. Over 12 months, I led the product vision and design direction for a series of incremental improvements that made the workflow-building experience more coherent, capable, and valuable for customers. The accumulated impact has been significant enough to warrant a marketing relaunch: the product now tells a meaningfully different story about what Docusign can enable in a customer’s automation journey.
Chris has brought a lot to the Workflows team. It's obviously an extremely messy and ambiguous space on top of the pain inherent in evolving e-signature to an agreement platform. Chris jumped in with both feet and I love that he always brought a strong POV and stayed receptive to new info and feedback.

Agreement Desk
Pre-signature work for agreement management
Agreement Desk brought Lexion’s pre-signature workflow into DocuSign’s agreement-management platform, giving legal and procurement teams visibility across negotiations, ownership, messages, and decisions before signature. Because the work overlapped with Transactions (later Workspaces), I used high-fidelity prototypes to align leaders around a shared direction—not replacing adjacent products, but showing how capabilities could work together across the agreement lifecycle. I also shaped the information architecture, navigation placement, and activity model. It reached GA alongside related initiatives, establishing a clearer pre-signature orchestration story.
The prototypes Chris created became the single most useful asset for aligning partner teams and driving progress. They consistently accelerated understanding and unblocked work. I can’t count how many times teams struggled to understand our product until I shared his flows—then everything clicked. These artifacts saved time, reduced confusion, and kept progress moving.

AI Contract Review
Embedded intelligence where legal work happens
AI Contract Review brought a Lexion capability into Microsoft Word, where legal teams already review and negotiate agreements. Customers could evaluate contracts against configured playbooks, understand why a clause raised concern, and work from suggested language without leaving their document. I led the post-acquisition rebrand and information architecture, translating the capability into Docusign’s product language while keeping the experience focused on fast, contextual review.
I loved partnering with Chris. He has a great grasp of evaluative research and knew when to step in and run it himself, which freed me up to focus on more strategic work. He regularly joined research sessions and did an excellent job carrying the voice of the customer and feedback forward into his design thinking. Chris is a strong partner who genuinely values research and knows how to turn insights into better product decisions.
